Highs & Lows: Weekend Edition
High: Celebrated a friend's 40th birthday! How cool is her modern living room? That amaz light fixture is from Ikea!
LOW: I went to pick up my groceries from Harris Teeter (The HIGH of this is that ordering your groceries online is the bomb.com) and I had purchased some alcohol (naturally) so I had to sign for my stuff. And the guy delivering groceries to my car looked at me and said, "Yeah, I'm supposed to card you too, but ummmm I don't think I need to worry about that." DAFUQ?! You don't exactly look Barely Legal yourself, my friend. I was just like, "Ha. Ha. Yeah well I'm definitely over 21." I wanted to be like wait what gave it away? Was it my minivan? (Because you know I be thinking my minivan is the shiz). Was it my sensible shoes? Was it the fact that DORA DORA DORA THE EXPLORERRRRRR was playing through out the car? Because honestly, please card me. I'm totally willing to be inconvenienced. I welcome having to search through my goldfish encrusted purse to get my wallet. I like it. Nay, I relish in it. My favorite past time is to feign annoyance when people ask to see my ID. I'm like **SIGHHHHH** SURE. But inside I'm like LIFE IS FOR LIVING. AND THIS IS LIVING!!!!!!
HIGH: Did nothing on Saturday day except clean around. Naturally I took a picture of said clean space, and didn't let anyone in for the rest of the day.
LOW: Well this was interesting. Felicity told me she was going to draw a picture for me. When she gave it to me my first thought: Wow, she loves me 2x over that's great. My second thought: But waittttttt what does this say about me exactly? With my handy dandy wine right by my side?? The regular human in me is like, "This is my self-portrait. Off to Michael's to get it framed. Bye!" But the mom in me is like, "Ohhh, I've made a terrible mistake. This is alarming." (Truthfully I have to say-- shout out to Felicity for giving me 0.00% hips though. I could only wish to have the Justin Bieber [pronounce it Bee-Bear. It's more fun that way] bod she gave me.)
HIGH: We were fortunate enough to be able to attend the Divine Mercy Gala on Saturday night. Supporting my OB/GYN, Tepeyac Family Center. I loved seeing all my doctors and showing them pics of the girls! (Even if one did tell me once "try not to gain so much weight next time" 2.4 seconds after I birthed Felicity. It was so bad that it was good...so I still consider it a HIGH.) Read about it HERE.
Check back tomorrow for another edition of These Are My Confessions!
